“Control
Valves” and “Instrumentation protection systems” Manufacturing &
Assembly line has been launched with the co-operation of the private
sector in Iran. As reported by the information base of National Iranian
oil company; “International West Technology Transfer Co.” has been
successfully able to sign a co-operation contract with the Swiss
“Overseas” company and the German “Intertec Hess GmbH” company in order
to transfer the technical knowledge, design and manufacture of Control
valves and instrumentation protection systems which are essential
products for the oil, gas, petrochemical industries and power plants as
well as the rest of the country’s fundamental industries.
Yesterday
on October 22th, in the opening ceremony of the manufacturing and
assembly line of control valves and instrumentation protection systems
in presence of “Manufacturing Support and Procurement KALA NAFT TEHRAN”
managers and experts, Mr. Asghar Manavi; IWTT Company’s chairman of the
board stated that:
“IWTT Company which has started its activity since
2002 as the representative of many prominent European brands; has been
successfully supplying its customers with a wide variety of equipment
applied in oil, gas, petrochemical industries, power plants and the rest
of the infrastructure industries.”
Mr. Manavi also added:
“This
company has put its efforts and concentration to transfer the
technology of control valves and instrumentation protection systems from
Switzerland and Germany and to manufacture these products in masses,
which are both among the 10 main petroleum product groups, in order to
meet the strategic and fundamental needs of the mentioned industries.”
Control
valves as he explains are extra complicated instrumentations which help
the regulation of the flow through a process control system; and
localizing this technology in the country will be a step towards
self-sufficiency and fulfillment of the resistive economical politics.
Mr.
Manavi continued: “our control valves have been designed and named in
different sizes and models with particular technical specifications for
each product which can be specialized and offered based on customers’
requirements.”
Mr. Mahmoud Esmaeeili, the engineering and local
manufacturing support deputy CEO of “Manufacturing Support and
Procurement KALA NAFT TEHRAN” company stated to NIOC reporter that:
“control valves are the 4th product group among the 10 petroleum
essential products and are known as capital products, meaning that they
are mostly purchased and installed by NIOC related contractor
companies.”
Mr. Esmaeeili added:
“NIOC
which is the main client of the capital products tries to help
contractors through aggregating the demand, projects feasibility and
justifying its economic aspects. Such actions have recently been
proceeding further with the co-operation of NIOC engineering and
development deputy CEO.”
He continues:
“the
same conditions apply to control valves; meaning that after aggregating
the demands in the industry, tenders are held and initial assessments
take place in order to purchase products and services from the private
sector in form of contracts.”
Control valves are products which
can regulate the flow in a process control system by suppressing forces
other than hand power. Control valves that are classified in different
categories based on their different specifications such as body
material, fluid type, movement type and etc.; are the last element of
the control loop and play an important and basic role in a process
industry.
